COMPACT-SIZE, POWERFUL PROJECTION
At the heart of the piano is the impressive solid spruce soundboard. Kawai's team of wood technologists, work tirelessly to ensure that each handpicked piece of spruce passes rigorous testing processes before being used in the K-15E. The soundboard transfers the instructions from the keys precisely, and offers a wide dynamic range to play with. Great care has been taken to deliver a finished product of exceptional quality. The height of the piano stands at a mere 110cm, which allows the piano to fit discreetly into any environment, but boasts an extended soundboard that produces the fullest and richest timbre possible.
Hard rock maple pin blocks with machine-cut thread, reverse-torque tuning pins guarantee tuning stability, whilst Computer Aided Design (CAD) is employed to craft the intricate cast iron plates that withhold up to 20 tonnes of string tension with the utmost precision.
PIONEERING ALTERNATIVE MATERIALS
Kawai has pioneered the use of alternative, sustainable materials in an effort to reduce reliance on and supersede wooden parts. Kawai's design engineers created ABS Styran, which has been found handle changes in both temperature and humidity more resiliently, significantly increasing the lifespan of the K-15E. Aluminium action rails and hammer rests also replace wooden components, without compromising on quality.
The K-15E is completed in polished ebony, making it a stylish addition to any home, classroom or teaching studio. This delightful piano has been specially designed and developed to exceed the performance requirements and expectations of even the most discerning of pianists.
WARRANTY
Each model is supplied with a comprehensive 10 Year Warranty. During years 1, 2, and 3, repairs will be covered on-site at the customers' home - this includes parts and labour.
